God
We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God, whose name is Jehovah, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth. We believe that in the unity of the Godhead there are three Persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
(Genesis 1:1; 1 Samuel 2:2; 1 John 2:7)
(Genesis 1:1; 1 Samuel 2:2; 1 John 2:7)
The Fall
We believe that man was created in holiness, under the law of his Creator; but by voluntary transgression fell from that holy and happy state. We believe that all are sinners; not by constraint but by choice; therefore, under just condemnation to eternal judgment.
(Genesis 1:27; 3:1-15; Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 1:18; 3:23; 5:12)
(Genesis 1:27; 3:1-15; Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 1:18; 3:23; 5:12)
Salvation
We believe that salvation of sinners is wholly of God's grace; through belief in the death, burial & resurrection of God's Son, Jesus Christ. We believe that Christ was born of the virgin Mary, conceived of the Holy Ghost. We further believe that salvation is by faith and not by any work of righteousness which we have done.
(Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8,9)
(Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8,9)
Eternal Security
We believe that such as are truly born again of the Holy Spirit shall never perish, but have everlasting life; that the believer is eternally secure unto the day of redemption.
(John 3:15-16; Romans 8:33-39; Ephesians 4:30; 1 John 5:10-13)
(John 3:15-16; Romans 8:33-39; Ephesians 4:30; 1 John 5:10-13)
The Church
We believe that a New Testament Church is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel; observing ordinances of Christ, governed by His word, and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth.
(Matthew 18:15-19; Acts 2:37-47; 1 Corinthians 12)
(Matthew 18:15-19; Acts 2:37-47; 1 Corinthians 12)
Ordinances
We believe that Christian baptism is immersion in water of a believer in Christ to show forth his faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior. We believe that the Lord's Supper is a provision of bread and the fruit of the vine, representing Christ's body and blood, partaken by born-again believers, in remembrance of the death of their Lord and Savior.
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:35-38; 1 Corinthians 11:23-24)
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:35-38; 1 Corinthians 11:23-24)
Scripture
We believe that the Holy Bible, containing both the Old & New Testaments was written by men divinely inspired; having God for its author. We believe that it is the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard for principle and practice. The King James Version is the official Bible version of this church.
